Mercy Alexander has worked at all levels of Senior Care for 26 years. Both in Corporate Administration for Nationally known companies; and as a loving Caregiver for dozens of clients over 10 years, with many of them long-term cases. She has a true heart for seniors and the disabled who need quality care as they age and heal, and has dedicated her life to that cause.

Mercy was born in Kenya, Africa. In 1999 Mercy moved to Atlanta where she graduated from the University of Phoenix with a BS in Healthcare Administration while working as an Administrative Assistant, Activities Director, Human Resource Manager, and eventually the Southern Regional Recruiter for Sunrise Senior Living. It was there that she developed compassion for our seasoned citizens which led her to get her CNA License to work directly with seniors. During the last 26 years, she gained knowledge and experience working for a few different Agencies as well as having many private cases, where she realized many Caregivers need additional training, and some need not be in the field at all.

Mercy is a passionate expert in all aspects of Senior Care and was sought by many companies. Her references from previous employers and the families she provided care for are outstanding. You can be assured Mercy expects excellence from every staff member of her company.

A Letter From Our FOUNDER Mercy….

My name is Mercy and I've been in the Home Healthcare field for more than 25 years. My love for this industry is beyond words and my heart for elder care is unexplainable. I’ve worked in Corporate Healthcare for large, well known companies wearing different hats, but the best time I've had was providing direct care for seniors or the disabled. I enjoyed every single minute, day, week, month and year that I spent providing care and the precious time with your loved ones; and therefore Heart of Mercy Homecare was born thanks to my husband and colleagues encouraging me to start my own Senior Care Agency!

This is a passion of mine and I hope to spread this passion to all of our caregivers that work for Heart of Mercy Homecare. I look forward to all of you trusting me and my team to provide the best care for your loved ones, and I can't wait for us to become one family, caring for all of your family members for years to come!
